One of the few apples which can truly compete with the Cox's orange pippin for flavour, with a sweet complex flavour and crisp texture. Unlike Cox's orange pippin this tree is easy to grow and generally problem free. It is late to ripen so prefers a sunny spot in the garden. An attractive tree with crimson pink blossom. Although commonly grown in the UK, this tree originates from New Zealand.

Flowering group D (Mid)

M9 rootstock gives a dwarfing tree that will reach 2.5-3m in height. It will start fruiting at 2-3 years.
