This will be the first apple of the new season ready for eating in late July. An apple with a summery flavour, with raspberry to redcurrant notes, sweet with refreshing acidity, crisp with soft melting flesh. Red with faint yellow stripes, this apple often looks a little knobbly with a distinct 5 crowned ribbing. Originally found in a field near Worcester and named in 1883. Naturally resistant to scab and canker, this is an easy tree to grow.

Flowering group D (Mid)

MM106 rootstock gives a semi-dwarfing tree that will reach 4m in height. It will start fruiting at 3-4 years.
