M27 Rootstock

M27 is the most dwarfing of all apple rootstocks, producing a tree which will be about the same size as a person standing with their arms slightly spread out (1.2-1.8m). They can be container grown or spaced 1-1.5 apart in a small garden. They need permanent staking and a little extra care with regards to watering and feeding. They start fruiting after two years and considering their size can bear a good yield of apples.

M27 trees are sold as feathered maidens (1 year trees with branch development) pot grown. As a result they can be supplied all year round, but it is best to collect, as the postage costs are much higher. On special request M27 trees can be supplied bareroot and thus posted out. Email for more information.
